Can J.R. Watkins Castile Soap be used …

In the bath?
Absolutely. With a small amount of soap, a high-lather makes for a luxurious body wash and efficient shaving cream. Rub a small amount in hands and use as shampoo.
Note: J.R. Watkins Castile Soap works best as a shampoo for those with untreated, virgin, straight hair. It is not recommended for use on color treated, bleached or highlighted hair.

As a face cleanser?
Yes. J.R. Watkins Castile Soap is gentle enough for use on the face. Dilute two to three drops of liquid soap in hands with water, cleanse face and rinse thoroughly. Soothing fragrances like Lavender and Clary Sage are best suited for use on the face.

On hands and feet?
Yes. A small amount goes a long way for washing hands and feet. After a long day,
J.R. Watkins Castile Soap is a great addition to a foot care routine. Soak feet in warm water. Cleanse with a small amount of liquid soap or a bar, and rinse. For extra invigoration use J.R. Watkins Peppermint Castile Soap and follow with J.R. Watkins Peppermint Lotion.

As a pet wash?
Yes. Place a few drops of liquid J.R. Watkins Castile Soap on a dry towel and dilute with water.  Use wetted towel to wipe-up muddy paws. Safe for use as a pet shampoo but, like humans, some hair types, like very dry or coarse hair, may not be well-suited for use. No need to worry if bathing your pet outdoors as J.R. Watkins Castile Soap is biodegradable and earth-friendly.

In the home?
When diluted, J.R. Watkins Castile Soap is appropriate for many home surfaces and will leave no harmful residue. Test a small surface prior to use on entire surface. One tablespoon in a gallon of water works great as a general floor cleaner.
Note: J.R. Watkins Castile Soap is not recommended for use as laundry or dishwasher detergent due to a high-foaming rate. In any usage mixing with water, do not keep mixture and discard after single use.

When camping?
Carrying different cleaners can be cumbersome when camping. Handy as a body wash and even dish soap, a single bottle of J.R.Watkins Castile Soap goes a long way. Its biodegradable properties make it earth-friendly and safe for outdoor use, too.
